COVID-19 Guidelines for Best Choice Fieldhouse

Indiana Back on Track Stage 4.5 for contact sports (June 19, 2020 – Current)

Best Choice Fieldhouse will be taking every precaution that we can to make sure that we keep our players, spectators, officials, and staff healthy.  Below are the measures that we will be taking place during our Summer Premier Youth League as well as our Men’s basketball leagues to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Facility/Spectator Guidelines:

  • In accordance with Gov. Holcomb's state wide mask mandate it is required that all spectators, coaches, and players must wear a face mask while inside the facility. Players will remove their masks while playing. We will be selling them for $2.00 for the spectators that do not have a mask.
  • All spectator bleachers will be marked with X’s that are 6 feet apart.  Spectators will be instructed to sit on the X during the game they are attending.
  • All walkways around the facility will be marked with 6 feet markers on the walkway to help ensure everyone is social distancing.
  • We ask that fans do not enter the facility until it’s 10 minutes before their team's game time, and after your game has ended you exit promptly.
  • All staff will have their temperature checked upon arrival to the facility.
  • Hand sanitizer will be located throughout the facility.
  • Bathrooms will be available for emergency situations, but we ask that everyone uses the bathroom before coming to your game.
  • All Water Fountains will be Shut off.
  • Each score table will have hand sanitizer on it for the players, coaches, and officials.
  • Each score table will have disinfectant and towels for coaches that would like to wipe down their team bench before their game begins.
  • Staff will be wiping down common areas, hand rails and cleaning bathrooms frequently throughout the day and night.
  • Each night a professional cleaning crew will be cleaning the facility and using sanitizers to disinfect all surfaces.
  • There will be no schedules posted in the facility to keep large groups from forming around posted schedules and standings.
  • Players in the facility are required to stay on their court and with their teams the entire time. There will be no kids running around the facility.

Team Guidelines:

  • Each Team is allowed no more than 10 players and 2 coaches on the roster.
  • All team benches will be marked with X’s that are 6 feet apart. Players will be instructed to sit on the X while on the bench.  We will add chairs to the end of the bench that are 6 feet apart so that every player has a seat.
  • We ask that each parent or coach checks their players temperature before coming to their game. If it is above 100.4 degrees, please stay home.
  • If anyone in your family is not feeling well, please stay home.
  • There will be no post-game handshake line to prevent extra contact.
  • To ensure games stay on schedule and we have time to clean and sanitize bleachers and team benches between games, 3rd grade through High School will play 22 minute halves, with a running clock. Clock will stop the last minute of each half and each team will receive 1 – full and 1 – 30 second timeout per half.
